NioCorp is developing the Elk Creek project in Nebraska, one of North America's only advanced sources of niobium and scandium, with rare earth potential alongside. Both metals feed high-strength steel, aerospace alloys and defense uses where the United States depends almost fully on imports. A completed feasibility study and active financing work make it one of the country's more advanced critical-mineral projects.
